Tucked behind a very small black community off of St. Claire Ave in East St Louis I noticed acres of solar panels being installed. I saw that most of the shade providing trees in this 4-5 block neighborhood were being removed. I wondered if they were older and damaged trees that could fly off in a storm and destroy the panels.
I worried that the residents of the small neighborhood would be displaced. The area is maybe five blocks. No town name is posted although many years ago a large, hand painted, board read, The Original Sin City.
The solar panels aren't visible from St Clair Ave. I found them one day while not minding my business, speculating about the fallen trees, and investigating the site. This is what I found on N 71st.

Everyone is cranky
They either want to sleep or work. Stop talking to me, said the little dog and the big man.
But later that day after the Feel Good injection, I met Brenna Kassis while shopping at a thrift who was in town with her band, Venus & the Flytrap. My Fit was respected and appreciated. I was given VIP status Plus One tickets to their show and took AJ.
AJ texted the next day marveling at how I manage to encounter such people on a daily basis.
I then reminded AJ of how we'd met. Haha! The End.

Hit & Run
Yes, I truly have the best adventures.
This old white hipster rear ended my car, declined to pull over, relented and said he would, then sped off. I took off after him for 12 minutes of a high speed case though TGE. I'd been preparing for this all of my life so the game was afoot. I followed him down brick alleys, several turns, one complicated turn until I lost him but it was so worth it.
The responding officer told me that 70% of the car accidents in STL result in people fleeing the scene.
Do you know this dude?
And there I was on my way to NSTL to deliver food to Larry's kitchen. Hence, the delay.
