Presenting a collection of St. Louis bricks, sidewalk markers, and the Fleur-de-lis as architectural detail on and in city buildings, brick collecting, urban exploration, and my life by Christian Herman. Reporting from Tower Grove South in St. Louis, MO
Hey RW: Bricks have a long history of being stolen and sold in St. Louis. Check out Michael Allen's Ecology of Absence blog for more info...his blog was probably the source for the NY Time article.
Time for us to get busy with this NorthSide Regeneration Project and build something...maybe they can use some of the bricks from. Let's stop fighting and get to building.

What a story. I never would have thought of brick theives. We truly are going thru tough times if people are stealing bricks.
