I am a huge sidewalk marker fan. I have a pretty decent collection of markers from all over the city, and sometimes post about them on my blog.

Sidewalk markers

Brass idewalk markers are being pried out of the pavement and sold for scrap.
Here's two different markers and a space where one has been removed.
Nope, I'm not naming the location and many thanks to Heath for directions.

When I was a kid, I used to see these all over our neighborhood and in other parts of the city. Due to many sidewalks being replaced due to damage along with wheel chair accessible sidewalk corners, many of these markers landed in a dump.
