The English Garden
My garden obsession this year is Hydrangea macrocarpa specifically this L.A. Dreamin' Hydrangea with its various colors.
Blueberries in Our Garden
Becuase of our many blueberry bushes, the Cardinals and Robins make their nests every spring and feast through the summer.
The heat, my gawd, the heat!
My daughter does hilarious and dramatic poses. I wonder how long she holds them before I pass, notice, and laugh. She smiles when I laugh. All of us have such a splendid life here.

Alex
My life has been graced with Golden's and Golden Mixes.
Alex was a Golden/Collie who was rabidly protective of me. He had a long career of biting men.
He especially disliked anyone who raised their hand over their head as if to strike. Even a contractor raising a hammer. Alex was a rescue so it's likely he came from a place where he was beaten. Perhaps by a man raised his hand over his head.
Alex was my body guard.
Alex had a few meetings with animal control where luckily, he was careless with his charm and appraised as harmless.
