Hello, I live in Belleville IL an the whole front of my house is covered in these bricks an I have been trying to find out about them, were or how they are made, are they rare. I have never seen bricks like this. Any info would be great if you want pics let me know. But they look very similar to the ones you have, an you are the only place that has had anything close. I know your time is precious but anything would be plenty. Thank you

Not sure if anyone ever got back to seven years ago, but I started the job of painting a brick fireplace in a home built in 1939 today. As the primer went on lightly I noticed a shape starting to emerge. Paw prints, everywhere. I did research and long ago while bricks were being laid out to do their thing in the sun, the local riffraff would saunter over the warm clay bricks, hence our joy today. I have continued to paint, but have preserved the paws and pine needles.

We live in Fairview, TN. Just moved into a house wholly made with this type of brick. Each one is slightly different.

We bought a house in Lexington Virginia October of last year, and also have the paw prints and leaves and ferns on fireplace and foundation of house. House was built in 1974 so I don't believe it to be old brick. Looking for answers as well

I bought a house in Florence Alabama that I just noticed the brick was littered with paw prints, leave prints and ferns. Is this rare, or just something that I just noticed?

I don't know the origin of the whimsical bricks. I love them and would love to know the story of their maker.

My house in Louisville, Kentucky has this brick, and I love it. I recently had to repair some of the bricks on the chimney, and my masons could not find this brick. I would love to know where I could purchase more of these.
