So I'm having lunch with this man I've been hanging with and I notice we're both dressed in black.
I say: Hey, the mortuary called and they want their suit back. Showing out my wit, right?
He scowls at me and says: Hey, the CONVENT CALLED AND THEY WANT THEIR VIRGIN BACK.
As I blushed the server (a friend of his) looks at me and says: So, what's it going to be?

10 years later, I don't recall who that was.

My Familiar
When the crows lifts a wing I can hear the distinct rustling of each feather. There's a whisk, brush, crispness to the sound, oddly weighted even though the crow is perhaps 15 ounces.
I had gathered acorns yesterday and placed them on the mantle as a gift.
This morning he scattered them, seemingly oblivious, doing one of his double hops.
A few moments ago he smartly snapped his wing for attention.
Yes, I asked.
Say, he said, I've an idea, let's go bowling today.
I can't. Bellie is going to the groomer and I'll be working.
His wings droop with hurt.
I flick one of the acorns beneath his feet as he hops and he laughs merrily.
Do it again, he shouts, Again! Again!
I roll another acorn towards his feet.
This is how we bowl.

Brave Belle. Nov 2014
I had brought her home from Dirk's Fund a month prior. Her fur was growing back. She weighed 39 pounds.

Barred Owl
Along our walk yesterday I saw a baby barred owl near our house. It was 8 feet above us.
I stared back and it flew off. It was huge and clumsy. I love hearing their calls at night.

The Stories, the Stars
Of course I'm sworn to privacy and can't blab about my Hollywood clients. I can tell you this Art Nouveau hair comb was purchased by a costume department.
When I asked about its fate I was told, 'Its actually for an HBO series, called "Lovecraft Country" we are mid-production of the first season in Atlanta'.

Bye!
An Apple Juice Bakelite magnifying glass that I literally found & just sold for $100. It's moving to Canada.
I wish I were going with it.
Wave goodbye!

A Brain can't explain itself
Before I left for The Wild yesterday I was admiring a piece of brain coral in my collection. I wished I had another.
Boom: two hours later I found this:
