Dream
What woke me: Dreaming of a male doctor straddling my body with a hot iron in his left hand about to descend and 'burn the cancer out of my chest'. I'm talking about an ironing board iron. I was screaming at him that we needed to discuss the treatment when I woke.
I much preferred the amusing hummingbird dream of yesternight.
The poor hummingbird circling my head thinking sweetness was in there. No, I don't have cancer but a friend is currently in treatment.

I See Three
Everyone knows that I hate Deskey lamps but these presented as sculpture. I'm OK with these but only these.
Ikebana
My friend Thomas with his amazing Ikebana at a Hanoi competition.
Photobombed by a vintage yellow container that one of the presenters bought from my etsy shop.

MLK Day. 2020
This woman at the Goodwill allowed me take her photo after our conversation.
Me: Are you wearing that scarf to honor Tupac today?
Her: YESSSSS!!!! You are the only person to notice and I mean the ONLY person!
Me: That has to be odd.
Her (looking me over): It really is.

She Love Me #33
Every work day is Take my Daughter to work where she wraps herself on my chair legs. She is heartbreaking.

My parents wedding. Holy Family Church. 1948
My mom and dad were married in the Holy Family church *rectory*.
They wouldn't allow my mom to marry in the church proper because she hadn't been raised catholic even though she had to convert from no faith to marry my dad.

Fire Rainbows in East St Louis. 2020
I saw Fire Rainbows in Cirrus clouds.
After 8 minutes of tracking them the fire rainbows disappeared. What a great day!

Vintage Western Germany filigree Pendant
My favorite piece from my extenisve collection which I started at age 14. I was at a store called The Outlet in old, downtown STL when I found this pendant.
Cake Standa
Just one of my delighful obsessions: vintage cake stands. This is a 13" Fenton Hobnail White Milk Glass Pedestal Cake Plate with a ruffle edge. My gawd, the ruffles!

Whoops
Drives me batshit.
Two things are so wrong: the brick used to fill a window is an interior brick. It's soft and eventually it will crumble. The brick wasn't rebedded.

Bakelite
Bakelite is an old love of mine. I've collected bakelite knobs off of tossed TVs in alleys for 5 decades and turned them into drawer pulls. I love the stuff but my attachment has waned.
I mean, there's only so much room in our house.
Just some spacers.

If you're an Artist
You must study Ikebana which means living sculpture.
You must understand Three and know that Three is the Lucky Prime in math theory.
You must practice Ikebana weekly. If you don't have flowers use fresh cut twigs.
Understand the significance of the container. Understand resonance.
Buy antique Ikebana books (I've a huge collection) and see how the living containers became the arrangement. Modernist Ikebana is mind blowing.
