Malaise

Fevers. Lower GI havoc. Headaches. Sense of taste in chaos. And so we take to the 7 foot sofa just to cuddle :)
BTW, most people I know in STL currently have covid. Ne too. I returned to wearing a shield over my double masks last week. Remember, the vaccine isn't going to prevent you from getting it but only minimize its impact.

We are sitting and looking

Cholly

I've been acquainted with Cholly for decades.
When I first starting working in Marti's Garden - usually by myself - he'd linger with concern. An upturned 10 gallon bucket became his seat where he could watch over me.
Due to a cleft tongue we had limited conversation but his ability to communicate joy and love were/are always obvious.
I last saw Cholly two months ago as we passed on MFG. He looked troubled and afraid and didn't greet me with a hug. Due to C-19, it has been years since I've passed him on the streets. I look different.
As does he with a mouth of damaged teeth.

Atlas (first in the phone book!)

It was made in ST Louis on Natural Bridge back in the days when this country had manufacturing and Union jobs.

Joanne Garcia

I bought this on the butte of Acoma Res during the 80s. It was made by Joanne Garcia, granddaughter of the famous Marie.
She didn't speak English.
I sold it on Etsy becuase I can't take it with me and there's so many experiences and stories attached to my things. And so, on to understanding hands :)

Fail Risk

So stoned on pain meds I thought that's what it said. Hahaha.

Hospital Art Fail

Yo. It's not about room design.

Dog flying over the Moon

Mid Century Cemar pottery palm leaf tray

Hyper rare. It was in mint condition. Leaf bolted to the bamboo stem. Sold to a man in Miami :) Found in the Wild.

Neckties from the 40s

The bottom tie has a brick design! The color of masculinity in the 40s was a deep burgundy. As seen on smoking jackets and neckties.
