Preparing for the Future - Vegetable gardening

Hey, a word.
This blog has evolved into storage space for photos from the past and current life. I still stalk brick. Assuming anyone is reading here's my advice: Learn to make your own soil, learn to garden, learn to can your produce, and save the seeds from what you've grown.
It's best to grow your produce raised well above the ground to prevent rabbits from eaing it. Raised beds arn't enough. I use things I've scored in alleys. Outdoor tables work best. Wood drawers from discarded dressers. Drill them for drainage. Plant seasonal crops: lettuce grows in the spring and fall and can survice in cold weather.
Buy an outdoor composter tumbler on legs. A compost pile on the ground just attracts rodents and requires maintenance.
Composter tumblers are to be placed in full sunlight. They are black to provide extra heat. Make your own soil and always harvest your seeds from what you've raised.
