Enright and Goodfellow 1944

My mother, grandmother and aunt in front of their apartment on Goodfellow and Enright.
The buildings in this photo were razed in the 70's.
Those old street lamps were removed in the mid 60's (but left in Tower Grove Park) and Deskey lamps installed.

i came across your blog on google reader. very nice by the way.

this particular post caught my eye because i have grown up and currently live off of the intersection of hamilton and enright, very close to where this picture was taken.

those apartments may or may not be gone now, im not totally sure. almost a full block of homes were demo'd and replaced with newer ones.

very cool to see what the neighborhood looked like long ago. thanks!
